Notice regarding the Open Competition for Partially Financing projects, which contributes through its merits to preserving and strengthening connections between the homeland and the diaspora, and the homeland and Serbs in the region;

The Open Competition for Partially Financing Projects involving the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region lasted for 15 days, from 11^th to 26^th October 2013

The Open Competition was posted on the website of the Office for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region on 11^th October 2013.The aim was to provide the general public with the information it needed, and the Open Competition was also publicised in the Frankfurt News and in the daily newspaper ‘Politika’ on 14^th October 2013.As the deadline for the submission of applications was 26^th October 2013, which was a Saturday, and the Law on General Administrative Procedure (‘Official Gazette of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia’ No.33/97, 31/ 01, ‘Official Gazette’ No.30/10) prescribes that if the last day of the deadline is a Sunday, or even a public holiday, or any other day when the authority before which an action should be taken does not work, the deadline expires at the end of the next working day, the last day for submitting applications for the Open Competition for partially-financing projects was Monday 28^th October 2013.

TheOpenCompetitionwasintendedforprojectsthatwouldlast for amaximumofsixmonths, i.e. becompletedby 26^thApril 2014. For plans featuring activities that stretch beyondthattime, anewOpenCompetitionforpartiallyfinancing projects isplanned.

The Competition Committee, which consisted of representatives from the Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture and Information, has proposed partially financing 38 projects for the diaspora, and 78 projects for Serbs in the region.
